- Actively participate in the design and preparation of drawings and specifications
- Produce structural construction drawings
- Assume responsibility for respecting the provisions of the quality-assurance system
- Solve technical issues that require research and in-depth analysis
- Design and prepare structural models and drawings (wood, steel and reinforced concrete framing) using REVIT and AutoCAD software
- Oversee coordination with other disciplines (mechanical processes, architecture, electromechanics, civil engineering)
- Train and provide guidance for junior technicians
- Review designs and deliverables
- Conduct field surveys
- Provide technical assistance to site supervisors
- Assist in verifying shop drawings
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in industrial and/or commercial / institutional / residential structure
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Canadian market
- Mastery of 3D Design software applications REVIT, AutoCAD, Solidworks
- Experience in structural drawing
- Familiarity with structural design norms and standards
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling / BIM is an asset
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Proficiency in French (oral and written)

Job DescriptionMission
The highly skilled Structures team is seeking a Technician with excellent analytical skills and familiarity with REVIT and AutoCAD software to add to their expertise in executing numerous and diversified industrial projects in the area of energy and resources. The main duties of the Industrial Structures Technician will be to contribute to the success of structural projects by participating in the design and producing drawings that respect the high standards at CIMA+.
