Description

We are currently looking for a Set Up Technician to join our team.


Set up and operation of various machines/equipment (extrusion lines, slitting operations, ovens, mixers, grinders, shredders), quality control, basic housekeeping, and troubleshooting.


Qualifications:


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and reasoning ability.
  • Physical coordination.
  • Experience with hand held measuring equipment /blueprint & drawings.
  • Good math and computer skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Forklift license/experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with continuous processes.
  • Previous experience in a continuous production process (not assembly line) setting up, troubleshooting, tear downs, change overs.

Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair computer systems.
  • Install and maintain hardware and software.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent.


Salary:
$21.00-$22.00 per hour.


Schedule:


  • 8 hour shift.
  • Monday to Friday.

Ability to commute/relocate:


  • Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred).

Experience:

Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred).
