Description

New Standard Group, in southern Manitoba, is the leading provider of new generation poultry and hog barn designs and technologies serving Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently recruiting for a
Service Technician to provide service and support for our customers in Southern Manitoba.

The Service Technician will respond to service calls on farm, via phone or remote login for all equipment as necessary.

A company vehicle is provided as local travel is required.

Key Responsibilities include:

Responding to equipment service calls onsite, via phone and/or via remote login in a timely manner
Diagnosing equipment issues, determining proper solutions, and performing required work to resolve the issue
Completing necessary paperwork daily including timecard, service sheet, and safety forms
Providing excellent customer service by answering questions, providing information on maintenance of the product, explaining the work that has been done and providing solutions to recurring problems
Working closely with the Sales team providing information on equipment as needed

Skills Required:

Strong mechanical aptitude with previous experience working with and diagnosing equipment issues is preferred; minimum 1 year of agricultural experience is an asset
Exceptional customer service orientation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Working knowledge of computers and MS Office Word; proficient in the use of smart phones
Good analytical and problemsolving skills
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
Excellent attention to detail
