Reporting to:
Director, Nitrogen Finance


This person is responsible for:

Working closely with key business partners to develop accurate business plans and short-term financial forecasts for the Nitrogen business, in addition to ad-hoc financial modeling, data analysis and business analytics to support the Nitrogen business senior leadership.

This role is for an 18-month contract position, beginning in February 2023. Open to a hybrid or remote work arrangement.


What you will do:


  • Develop accurate shortterm financial forecasts and the annual plan for the Nitrogen business
  • Maintain and enhance the shortterm forecasting models
  • Develop strong relationships with key business partners, including the commercial, plant finance, accounting, corporate planning, and investor relations teams
  • Support and facilitate business planning meetings with business partners
  • Ongoing financial analysis to support the business
  • Develop, maintain, and complete key business partner reports
  • Complete ad hoc analysis, projects and initiatives as assigned

What you will bring:


  • A university degree in accounting, finance, marketing or commerce
  • Professional designation (CPA, CBV or CFA) or MBA
  • 8+ years related and progressive work experience in a business or financial analysis role
  • Experience is designing and utilizing financial models
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional analytical acumen with capacity to identify, scope and solve complex problems
  • Background in business partnering with a strong desire to add value to the business, as well as a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power Query and Power BI would be an asset
  • Strong integrity and business ethics
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, problemsolving and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multitasking, deadlineoriented team environment, and interface with various levels of management and leadership
  • Ability to think strategically and an attention to detail
  • Curious, proactive and enjoy working in a collaborative, supportive team environment
  • Flexible to work extended hours to meet project timelines
  • Positive attitude and a team spirit
