Shift:
Mornings (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

Carries out inventory control functions that include managing, planning, and status reporting.
Maintains partnership with suppliers/vendors, OEMs and internal customers
Constant assessment of new and existing suppliers and pricing to help meet business unit financial goals
Interfaces with vendors to obtain quotations, resolve discrepancy, research new products and other business transactions.
Monitors inventory data and controls data integrity of inventory systems.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out other projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of inventory control systems.
Thorough knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
Thorough knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and production management computer systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for approximately 25% of the average work day.

Preferred Characteristics:

University bachelor degree in business administration; or equivalent is a plus.
Ongoing or completion of an appropriate certification program (PMAC, APICS, CPM or CMA) is preferred.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think outside the box when solving problems
