Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the Discipline Director_, _the_ _Clinical Service Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical service delivery and environmental/operational issues in a designated service area to ensure optimum patient care in a safe environment.
The incumbent provides guidance to Audiologists in pediatric and adult audiology through clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, education, evaluation, and research.
The incumbent contributes to the delivery of quality Audiology services by examining, developing, refining and evaluating the body of knowledge and clinical practices and by assisting the Director in program planning and development.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant Audiology experience in a hospital setting. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Masters degree in Audiology from an accredited, recognized University is required.
- Completion of, and ongoing participation in, relevant courses, workshops, etc. to address continuing education requirements; supervision in Audiology and specialization required for designated clinical areas (pediatric and adult audiology).
- Training in human resource and fiscal management preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration:
- Must be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM). Membership in other professional organizations is encouraged; for example, the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA) and Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the applicable policy.
