Join the Data Governance team where we lead our digital transformation to accelerate housing affordability.

The Community of Practice (CoP) Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading an enterprise-wide Data Stewardship Community of Practice.

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for providing strategy, planning, implementation, monitoring and learning for the community of practice.


Responsibilities:


  • Leads the development and execution of short, medium and longterm tactics for the implementation of the community as well as the continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Supports the development and leads the operationalization of the Data Stewardship framework, ensuring roles and responsibilities are executed in alignment with the data governance policy, directives and standards.
  • Guides members with a view to obtaining certifications, accreditations and/ or other items that are relevant and desirable for their roles and responsibilities.
  • Leads the utilization of Data Management and Governance technology tools.
  • Collaborates on the implementation and operations of communication forums, such as stewardship committees, with key stakeholders across varying management levels to support the prioritization of use cases and requests.
  • Leads the implementation of stewardship roles within the community, including business and technology stakeholders.
  • Liaises between the community, business lines and IT to promote dialogue about experiences and sound management practices.
  • Develops and rolls out the communication plan, including development of the SharePoint community site, launch, gather and promotion of members achievements, provide space to showcase work completed, identify and publish relevant articles, webinars, online training, etc., provide space for IT governance updates, best practices and introduce new tools to the community.
  • Applies change management and communications techniques to introduce and maintain engagement in the community.
  • Implements the community governance, aligned with the stewardship framework, and coordinates cadence of meetings with the community, including development of agendas, creating and collecting materials and managing presenters (as applicable).
  • Develops a measurement framework, including monthly indicators to determine engagement and improvement of the community.
  • Develops training materials and guidelines and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate Degree in a business Administration, Commerce, Data Science, Analytics, Information Management, or related fields combined with a minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in leading others through change or managing communities of practice OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Stewardship and/or Data Governance, or related roles.
  • Ability to foster inclusive and innovative working environments and ability to build strong relationships with analytic/ quantitative resources.
  • Ability to cope with change and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
