REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports and is accountable to the Senior Manager of People and Culture or their designate
- Participates as a member of the Connective Administrative Support Team
- Liaises with staff and volunteers of community and government agencies as required
- Liaises with the staff of Connective as necessary
HOURS:
Monday - Friday: hours per week)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversees and supports hiring managers in fullcycle recruitment, from recruitment strategy to execution
- Engages in proactive strategies to assist recruitment needs and to ensure strategic positions are being filled in a timely manner
- Partners with People and Culture team and management to identify and address organizational development and training needs
- Develops, implements, and manages People and Culture policies and procedures in compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Supports our key People and Culture processes such as onboarding/offboarding, training and development, and performance management
- Provides guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Supports the Labour Relations process by providing guidance and interpretation on Collective Agreement, Labour Laws and Employment standards
- Oversees and acts as key People and Culture contact for the implementation and development of new programs
- Researches and presents opportunities for improvement and implementation of People and Culture best practices and processes
- Conducts People and Culture related projects and special initiatives
- Supports employee engagement initiatives and contributes to the creation of a positive workplace environment for all team members
- Fosters a positive working culture, through inclusion and diversity initiatives, continuous learning, and collaboration
- Performs other related duties as required
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Function independently, while remaining a crucial member of the support team
- Adhere to Connective policies and procedures
- Be available to work flexible hours as needed. May include some evenings/weekends, as determined by the regional office needs and schedules
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Degree, diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Three or more years of progressive work experience in Human Resources, including working in a recruitmentbased environment
- CPHR designation and/or actively pursuing designation preferred
- Experience with operating within a unionized environment
- Demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check
- Ability to successfully pass a reference check
- Covid19 Vaccine
COMPENSATION
The salary range would be $52, 600 -$72,400 per annum plus benefits
