Division Information

PACCAR Financial (PFC) facilitates the sale of premium-quality PACCAR vehicles in 20 countries on three continents worldwide by offering a full spectrum of creative, flexible financial products and value-added services specifically tailored to the transportation industry.


Job Functions / Responsibilities:


  • Prepare standard monthly journal entries and participate in the month end close process.
  • Review monthly journal entries and reports prepared by the General Accountant.
  • Prepare treasuryrelated journal entries and communicate with treasury group regarding debt and derivatives.
  • Prepare regular management operational reports and analysis used internally by local Management
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the budget and forecasting process
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts, identifying outstanding issues and resolving them through independent analyses and followup.
  • Provide backup for payables processing, general ledger maintenance and other duties as assigned
  • Manage adequacy and adherence to internal controls as well as SOX compliance and documentation.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
  • Manage the annual statutory audit and assist in the issuance of financial statements.
  • Ensure quarterly and annual reporting schedules are met within established due dates.
  • Assist the Canadian Tax Department with tax reporting and compliance to PACCAR of Canada. Includes the preparation of working papers, analysis, tax audit support, ad hoc reporting requests, maintaining detailed working papers to convert from US GAAP to Canadian GAAP, preparing basic elements of corporate tax returns
  • Manage internal, external and tax audit requests
  • Assist in system or process change implementations

Qualifications & Skills:


  • University degree in business with senior level courses in accounting is required.
  • CPA designation required or be working toward a CPA designation at an advanced level.
  • Must possess 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Has experience working with Chart of Accounts, General Ledger and Accounts Payable
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Has strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel capabilities, familiarity with Tableau is desired.
  • Flexible and with the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Results oriented and deadline driven with ability to prioritize activities.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail while maintaining a 'big picture' focus
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles
  • Experience with GAAP Accounting, SAP, Infinium or Showcase would be an asset.
