Responsible for the development & successful execution of Opco training programs. This includes onboarding and development of training matrixes that report appropriate training and measure effectiveness. Training will focus on SX but may include ISO, Microsoft products etc. Ability to travel through branch network is required.

  • Develop, evaluate, and manage training matrix and curriculum to fulfill all training and skills development needs of the OPCO and ensure successful delivery
  • Design, develop materials, conduct and/or facilitate for all technical systems training including SXe operating system
  • Update written processes and procedures relative to training and development
  • Orientation of all new OPCO employees, including appropriate paperwork is completed
  • Work with management team to ensure all new hires receive proper training and follow up to ensure orientation program requirements are met
  • Manage training record keeping system
  • Help in the creation and delivery of web based training (working with existing Sonepar resources if required)
  • Act as liaison with business managers for training needs, and conduct needs analysis within departmental teams to develop recommendations for changes to the current training plan and/or identification of new training needs
  • Coordinate and facilitate group training sessions
  • Monitor training system and advise management team on system performance including cost, return on investment and performance ratings vs goals
  • Promote and advocate the concepts of top performance and selfimprovement across the company
  • Work with and share best practices with Corporate Trainers from other OpCos
  • Facilitation of appropriate training programs.
  • Experience and qualification required:_
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment Direct work experience as a corporate trainer or adult educator
  • Direct experience in assessing training needs, designing curriculum plans to fulfill those needs and deliver the training required.
  • Diploma or certificate in adult learning theory or instructional system design would be an asset

  • Direct experience in training sales staff and creating specific sales oriented curriculum would be an advantage
  • Demonstrate ability to work with a team, yet works independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to educate and transfer knowledge to diverse group of individuals
  • Desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to identify and accommodate for different learning styles
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate and build relationships with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Maintains close relationship with Operations Team and key Business leaders to ensure consistency and continuity.
  • Regular travel to various branches across Ontario.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • College/University Diploma required (Business, and/or Sales & Marketing, or Technical focus preferred)
