Transferring patients (moving patients between beds, stretches, and imaging tables) requires several nurses and risks injury every time.

At Able Innovations, we are developing cutting-edge robotic devices to automate this process to offer safe, efficient, and dignified care.


We are looking for individuals who want to develop intelligent, robust, and particle systems that we can deliver globally to combat this public health crisis.


About the position

Responsibilities:


  • Travel to customer sites to perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Conduct troubleshooting and testing on product devices
  • Track product validation plan and progress
  • Assemble prototype units
  • Operate devices for demonstrations
  • Complete detailed reports and provide feedback to development teams

Requirements:


  • Must enjoy being handson with technology
  • Motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license (G)
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices when working with equipment
  • Experience with the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components
  • Experience interacting with mechatronicbased systems, including software programming, performing system firmware updates, and interacting with commandpromptbased interfaces
  • Demonstration of problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite as well as Google Docs and Google Sheets

Bonus Skills:


  • Individuals with extracurricular experience (not just through coursework) demonstrating interest in engineering design or medtech field
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both French and English
- past experience in healthcare or dealing with customers

  • Take ownership: Take responsibility and accountability for your tasks
  • Proactive: When a challenge or problem is identified, you actively seek ways to address or mitigate it
  • Resourceful: Find creative ways to solve problems and think out of the box
  • Adaptable: Able to respond to rapidly changing project requirements
