Pump Technician / Shop Labourer - Repair & Service
Trades Background:
Millwrights, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Automotive
Salary:
$28-35/hr Depending on experience
Location:
Leduc Shop Position
We are currently looking to hire 2-3 Pump Repair Techs for our Leduc Shop, this position would be involved with repairing and servicing large pump systems and associated parts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Breakdown, Inspect, Diagnose, and make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs
- Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner;
- Testing and QC of equipment after repair
- Work as a team, training apprentices, coordinating with other departments
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals;
- Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times;
- Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with mínimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Trade ticket or apprenticeship in Millwright or HET is an asset
- Experience in repair/maintenance of rotating equipment
- Experience with large pump systems
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
