Description
Barber Collins is looking for a part time security guard who can interact regularly and confidently with the public. The guard would be required to assist the passengers/customers while working closely and following instructions of other fellow guards.


Shifts:

-
all shifts are based on a mandatory 2-week rotation_

Friday night into Saturday
12:00am-8:00am (8hrs)
Saturday into Sunday
8:00pm-8:00am (12hrs)
Sunday night -
8:00pm-12:00am
(4hrs)

  • Optional extra hours are available
  • Weekends
  • Overnight shift

Responsibilities:


  • Full patrols of the airport premises.
  • Assisting passengers with parking payments and any parking gate issues.
  • Validating and checking staff I.D's/clearances daily.
  • Monitor CCTV for arrivals / departures / security breaches.
  • Assist with escorts in the restricted areas.
  • Assist with crowd control in the lobby when needed.
  • Assist with each domestic arrival ensuring passengers do not reenter restricted areas.
  • Assist the airline staff with deescalating upset passengers/customers.

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
  • Meticulous recordkeeping, report writing, observation skills.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
