    SCOPE
    As a Business Analyst 2, you will work closely with business unit representatives and management to identify business improvement opportunities, assess business problems, and make recommendations. The successful incumbent will act as a liaison between business areas and the solution teams within their designated portfolio. You have a proven ability to support teams through departmental and organizational change and you have good stakeholder engagement, relationship and team building skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    As a key member of the team, this position will:

  • Help to define business scope and objectives through research, fact-finding and a general understanding of applicable business and industry requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and solution teams.
  • Develop or modify moderately complex business processes and elicits business requirements to ensure business needs are understood and successful business solutions are built
  • Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
    You are a Business Analyst who:
  • Values relationships and helps strengthen the bond with partners with trust, teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Brings general knowledge of business analysis best practices, requirements elicitation & analysis, stakeholder assessments as well as process modeling techniques that help enhance service delivery.
  • Has good communication & facilitation skills and is able to ensure the right message is understood by all parties involved.
  • Supports and promotes change to help shape business transformation.
  • Is results driven person who performs at a high level to achieve desired outcomes and align contributions to improve business performance.
  • Is a natural born problem solver and able to consider situations from multiple perspectives and beyond conventional thinking.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Candidates under consideration will possess the following qualifications:
  • Degree in a related field from a recognized institution plus two (2) years of related work experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.
    Preferred Assets include:
  • ECBA or CCBA certification.
  • Experience within the public sector.
  • Experience working with Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with Agile Principles.

    Pay Steps — Hourly Rate
    Step 1 — $47.52
    Step 2 (6 months) — $49.52
    Step 3 (18 months) — $51.52
    Step 4 (30 months) — $53.84

    This position involves completion of a Police Information Check.
