Position Summary:

  • In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist (PT), Occupational Therapist(OT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), or Recreation Therapist (RT), the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client, and supporting the operations of the service/program. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assists with monitoring patients'/residents' progression under the supervision of, and as assigned by, the responsible therapist or appropriate designate. Under the general direction of the supervising manager, the Rehabilitation Assistant also supports the operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Qualifications:


  • Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License as required.

  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
