BIOVECTRA Inc.is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.
BIOVECTRA Inc. has an immediate opening for aProduction Planner. This is a full-time permanent position located in
Windsor, NS.
- Creating and maintaining schedules for manufacturing department utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Scoping out production activities and material usage planning for manufacturing site.
- Attending meetings with manufacturing and other stakeholders to develop appropriate schedules required to meet departmental and corporate requirements
- Liaise with raw material planners and warehouse to ensure on time delivery of specific raw materials required for production campaign
- Continually monitoring pace of production thru shift reports for exceptions in raw material usage and inventory levels to ensure continued available stock is ordered for uninterrupted on time production.
- Review of batch records to receive accurate step timelines to build historical database of timing required for operations.
- Providing input and considerations to optimal production schedule
- Support and assistance with scheduling changeovers from one product to the next
- Ensuring schedule stability by minimizing short term changes to the schedule where possible
- Tracking and reporting performance metrics for ongoing measure and continuous improvement
- Bachelors degree in Business, Science, Supply Chain or related field. Other technical diploma supplemented with technical training at secondary levels, or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum one year of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in planning and/or project management preferred
- Must be computer literate with experience using spreadsheets, Project Planning Software, MS-Project and/or SAP/ERP Systems.
- Excellent problem solving, mathematics, data analysis and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
