Responsibilities:


  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request. Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
  • Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
  • Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, controllers, multiplexers, or related networking equipment. Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes.
  • Operation support of multiple software development projects and teams in their duties, tasks, responsibilities and functions.
  • Work with cross functional teams including end users, technology experts, quality assurance analysts, product managers and developers to elaborate and maintain technical specifications.
  • Assist, develop and maintain technical and system documentation, including installation and configuration procedures as required.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Specific Skills:


  • Experience with various platforms and operating systems including: IBM AIX, Linux /Unix Windows.
  • Experience implementing web services.
  • Good knowledge LDAP and directory structures.
  • Network implementation and performance tuning.
  • Critical thinking, strong deductive reasoning, persistence, and creativity.
  • Complex problem solving ability.
  • Strategic planning, multitasking, quality focus, and coordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Requirements:


  • University graduate in computer science or equivalent.
  • 5 years IT experience.
  • Oracle RDBMS version 12c and/or higher.
  • Cloud certifications would be an asset.
  • English spoken and written.
  • Spanish or/and French an asset
