The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a
Supervisor, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our
Maintenance Planning and Control Team at
Copper Cliff Mine in
Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a permanent position.


As a
Supervisor, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, you will be helping to facilitate the continuous improvement of the Mechanical Maintenance team's performance, through the effective use of established processes and procedures.

You will be accountable for the planning of work for the Copper Cliff Mine Maintenance Department and may be required to provide relief supervision as needed.


Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Work Monday to Friday, 8 hours day shift.
  • Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools, and standards.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, etc.
  • Execute the "Planning" element of the process for all types of work orders systematic and nonsystematic maintenance. This includes shutdowns (PMP) and external resourcerelated work.
  • Coordinate and facilitate with the Scheduler to ensure all required planning/scheduling routines are followed.
  • Ensure WO user statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order.
  • Ensure work orders are planned with an emphasis on safety and ready to be executed prior to the required end date as determined through the notification.
  • Work within assigned budgets and escalate to management should a budget be exceeded.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the "work schedule" for completion by the Required End Date.
  • Manage backlog to ensure work orders are planned based on priority and required end date.
  • Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.
  • Relief supervisor as necessary which requires:
  • Holding the crew accountable for safe behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Ensure planned work orders are closed with proper time confirmations completed.
  • Work within budget, guidelines, and standards.
  • Work with a crew to develop an interactive workplace environment.

About You

Education:


  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Valid Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, or Millwright or Electrician trade certificate for the province of Ontario.

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within SAP and the Prometheus addon as a Planner and Scheduler is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading crews is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the trades.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
  • Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
