They directly manage 3 General Managers and 3 Assistant Managers, and indirectly manage 60+ part-time staff.

This position reports directly to the owners and works closely with them day-to-day.

Unlike many similar roles in retail or hospitality, this role isn't directly responsible for achieving sales goals or dealing with massive inventories.

Our Customer Service and Marketing teams will make sure the customers show up, and we have relatively little consumables. Also, our products are fun and our customers visit us to have a good time

The Ops Manager gets to focus almost all of their energy on helping and developing their teams, improving processes and delivering amazing customer experiences.

  • Coach, mentor and develop managers and parttime staff
  • Oversee and assist in hiring of parttime staff, including screening, interviewing, offers, forward planning, etc
  • Lead weekly meetings with the managers of each location

Operations Responsibilities

  • Backfill for GMs as required (vacations, vacancies, etc)
  • Provide oncall support to managers for inprogress situations
  • Oversee inventory levels
  • Investigate and followup on negative customer experiences
  • Update data for reporting (NPS, KPIs, etc)
Facilities Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit locations to ensure our standards are being upheld
This involves traveling to Calgary for a few days 6-8 times a year
