Summer 2023- Insurance -Claims Initiatives Specialist Intern

Please note:

This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2023 placement with a start date of May 2023, and end-date of August 2023.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

Be returning to school after the work term enddate of August 2023; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2023), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

What will you do?

Contribute to Claims Initiatives through:

Case load reassignments, and distributing followup reports to the claim's specialists
Updating all systems with caseload changes and followup dates
Reviewing files for existing offsets and pursuing offsets, as required
Recognize and investigate complex issues and escalate, when appropriate these issues to their Claims Consultant or Senior Manager
Effectively manage multiple clients' needs and internal job demands
Duties as assigned

What will you need to succeed?

Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and priorities according to deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skill
Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with customers in a manner that is professional with a high degree of customer service
Ability to effectively manage change

Job Summary
As a Claims Initiatives Specialist you will assist with the adjudication of disability claims by participating in Claims

management strategies and delivering superior service to our clients.
