We are looking for a Financial Analyst to help grow our business and contribute to our future.

The Financial Analyst will complete accurate month end, quarter end and year end accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, general ledger and bank account reconciliation, plus accrual listing.

In this role, reviewing and approving certain journal entries and accounts reconciliation may be required.

Reporting to Senior Finance Manager, Complex Accounting, other highlights include:

Assist with annual audit and the preparation of assigned working papers and reports ensuring appropriate support, audit trials, and review are documented in the information provided.
Coordinate, develop and prepare reconciliations and analysis on assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts and internal/external reports.
Maintain data and system integrity between the accounting ERP system and other systems either automatically or manually integrated to the ERP system.
Develop and prepare internal monthly financial (e.g. profit and loss, balance sheet, statement of cashflows, capital expenditures) and management reports (e.g. segment, division, department, cost center, revenue, expense) and other ad hoc reports requested by the business.
Support the development and preparation of external quarterly and annual financial reports (e.g. public financial statements and financial statement notes, MD&A, Annual Report, Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular, Business Acquisition Reports, Debt/Equity Prospectuses) ensuring Board and Stakeholders requirements are fulfilled.
Support the systems and processes associated with project accounting and business assets.

What you'll need:

University degree in Business Administration or Commerce with 4 years related experience. The incumbent should possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or be working towards completion of one.
Knowledge of accounting policies, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge of all aspects of financial management, strategic planning, business processes, and accounting.
A good understanding of IFRS and financial management principles and practices.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, linking, data tables, filtering, etc. Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Knowledge and experience working in a larger scale ERP system is preferred.
Ability to collaborate and support the preparation of cost benefit analyses and comparisons including the use of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analyses.
Ability to learn and retain knowledge of the corporation and its products and services and corporate policies.
