The
Branch Manager role provides leadership for the branch and maintains the overall accountability and responsibility for the operational direction of the branch in the areas of sales and business development, general operations, human resources and expense management.

This energetic and driven individual will lead the personal and commercial sales, service and support teams to success.


Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to all team members through coaching, communication, goalsetting and performance management to form a high performing team
  • Work with the PL and CL Leadership Team and peers to formulate strategies to achieve sales and client retention targets that are outlined in Drayden's overall vision
  • Accountable for the branch operational performance including new business sales and renewals
  • Accountable for upholding the client experience and ensuring service standards are met by all team members
  • Analyze and resolve service and sales problems and follow up with clients on escalated issues as required
  • Communicate, implement and monitor branch results to ensure the writing of appropriate and profitable business with various insurance markets
  • Enforce and maintain procedures, including potential difficult claims, to reduce and eliminate E&O exposures
  • Accountable for overall recruiting and staffing of branch team
  • Evaluate employee performance during regular team member upward communication and checkins, including disciplinary action if necessary
  • Participate in industry networking, community involvement, trade shows, and local business organizations

  • Minimum Level 2 General Insurance License
  • CAIB designation or equivalent insurance education
  • 5 or more years of jobrelated experience or a minimum of 2 years leading a team of professional staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
