Summary of Function:


As a Visitor Services Representative, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors in a dynamic environment with rotating shifts, taking on roles such as ticket seller, information desk concierge, and front-of-house usher.

Joining the Visitor Experience Team, you will provide top-notch service to all visitors, aiming to surpass expectations as we welcome visitors back to our site.


Duties:


Ticket Seller Duties:


  • Processes ticket orders over the phone and in person
  • Assists customers with online ticket purchases and resolves any issues with professionalism
  • Makes outbound concierge calls to provide detailed information to customers requiring accessibility
  • Updates customer data in Tessitura Ticketing software and stays informed on upcoming events and ticketing policies
  • Performs other assigned duties of a similar nature
  • Remains flexible during shifts to support other Visitor Services positions

Information Desk Concierge Duties:


  • Welcomes and directs visitors proactively
  • Manages the general inbox and provides information on performances at Harbourfront Centre
  • Handles customer complaints or issues, escalating when necessary
  • Supports box office with ticket sales
  • Stays flexible to assist other Visitor Services positions

Front of House Usher Duties:


  • Welcomes and assists visitors, manages crowd flow, and ensures a smooth experience
  • Assists visitors with accessibility needs for a barrier-free experience
  • Observes the venue during performances to respond to emergencies or disruptions
  • Maintains venue cleanliness and arranges furniture as needed
  • Handles coat check, merchandise sales, and provides excellent customer service
  • Conducts verification checks in accordance with safety protocols
  • Remains adaptable to support other Visitor Services roles

Requirements:


  • Experience in delivering high-quality customer service
  • Availability for daytime, evening, weekend, and late-night shifts
  • Diplomacy in handling visitor inquiries and complaints
  • Familiarity with AODA
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
