Job Summary:
As a CPAP Clinician and Home Oxygen Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care to patients suffering from sleep apnea and respiratory-related conditions.
You will be responsible for assisting patients who require home oxygen therapy, ensuring they receive the appropriate equipment and instructions for safe and effective usage.
Additionally, you will be responsible for helping run the overall day to day operations in a small branch location.Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments and evaluations prior to initiation of CPAP therapy and/or home oxygen.
Educate patients on the importance of adhering to treatment plans and ensuring proper equipment usage.
Assist patients in selecting suitable CPAP masks and accessories, providing guidance on adjustments and maintenance.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
Perform troubleshooting and provide technical support to patients experiencing issues with their CPAP or oxygen equipment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Stay informed about the latest developments in CPAP and home oxygen therapy to provide the best possible care to patients.
Must have a clean driving record and be available to provide after hours support on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Previous experience in CPAP therapy and home oxygen services is preferred but not necessary.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities to address patient concerns and technical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Empathetic and compassionate approach towards patients' needs and concerns.
Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in CPAP and oxygen therapy.
Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
