    We are currently recruiting a Concrete Foreman/Forewoman to assist our Concrete division with fast-paced, challenging projects in Williams Lake, BC. The Foreman/Forewoman will report to the Site Superintendent.

    Duties/Responsibilities
    • Implementing tasks set by the Superintendent
    • Instruction of carpenters and apprentices in tasks and duties
    • Inspection of all formwork before pouring
    • Formwork, both loose form and gang form assembly
    • Concrete pouring and curing
    • Scaffold erection for both deck formwork, and working scaffold.
    • Verifying layout, grades, plumb, and position of concrete components
    • Able to read and comprehend blueprints
    • Able to read and comprehend all shop drawings; reinforcing, structural steel, elevator
    • Coordination of labor and carpenters to assigned construction path
    • Instruct/participate/enforce, all company, provincial, federal, safety regulations and policies
    • Assist all trades in their work with components to be cast in concrete
    • Efficient use of crane and equipment time
    • Allotment of manpower to tasks to achieve steady flow of work
    • Assist in the tracking and ordering of materials and on site storage
    • Maintain a clean, and safe site
    • Attend meetings and communicate with general contractor and trades
    • Comply with all environmental protection regulations

    • Ability to work well in a team and independently
    • Positive attitude towards safety
    • Punctual and reliable
    • Self-motivated
    • Willing to learn
    • Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, physically fit
    • Proven experience as construction foreman
    • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OH&S guidelines
    • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Ability to communicate and report effectively
    • Aptitude in math
    • Problem-solving abilities
    • Familiarity with safe work procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an asset
    • Computer skills (excel, word, outlook) considered an asset
    Requirements
    • High-rise construction experience would be considered an asset
    • Fall Protection ticket considered an asset
    • WHMIS 2015 required
    • CSTS 09 or CSTS 2020 required
    • Journeyperson trade ticket and a minimum of 5 years experience
