Job requirements and qualifications:
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Must be passionate about customer services and have a friendly personality and excellent personal presentation
- Must have an excellent eye for detail and work well under pressure
- Must be able work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods up to 8 hours without assistance
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance
- Previously hotel experience is an asset but not required
- Second language ability also an asset
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to legally work in Canada and be bondable
- Post secondary education is an asset
- Must be comfortable with modern office software
- Excellent time management skills
Job functions:
- Process guest arrives, departures, reservations and all necessary payments
- Provide accurate information to ensure room sales and maximum hotel revenue
- Assist with check in/out process for groups and tours
- Effectively handle investigate and result guest concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel including room location, features and rates
- Interact effectively with guests and staff to create a positive hotel experience
