Based in Edmonton, AB, we are expanding our team and looking for a resolute Recruiter to enhance our HR functions, focusing on recruitment, attraction, administration, and onboarding.

This role is pivotal in supporting our operations across both Canada and the US, ensuring we attract and retain the top talent in our industry.


Role Summary:


As a Recruiter reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling the day-to-day recruitment and HR needs of our company.

Your responsibilities will include executing recruitment activities, facilitating pre-employment processes, and offering employment.

Additionally, you will engage in developing strategies for attracting and retaining staff, managing administrative tasks, and providing support to our leadership team and HR colleagues.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment and Attraction:


  • Manage daily recruitment tasks: prescreening, interviewing, reference checking, and facilitating preemployment requirements.
  • Complete hiring documentation and determine pay rates based on qualifications and experience.
  • Offer advice on recruitment processes and procedures to leadership, applicants, and the HR team.
  • Represent ICT at career fairs and consult with educational institutions to attract prospective applicants.
  • Develop strategies for longterm staffing needs.

Administration:


  • Coordinate preemployment medicals and Drug & Alcohol testing for safetysensitive roles.
  • Maintain uptodate personnel files.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about setups and benefits.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager on benefit administration.

Qualifications:


  • 2year diploma or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Marketing.
  • 25 years of experience in HR and recruitment, preferably in a challenging environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% across Canada and the US.
  • Experience with remote recruitment and knowledge of the US market is an asset.
  • Familiarity with UKG software would be beneficial.
  • Pursuing or holding an HR designation (CPHR, SHRM) is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Pay:
$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
