Solar Service Technician to join our growing team. We are a trusted solar company that is looking to grow and maintain strong relationships with our customers.

The Service Technician is responsible for the activities involved with ensuring customers are supported after a project is completed - and for the lifetime of the renewable energy system.

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the overall physical care, maintenance, troubleshooting of renewable energy systems. They will ensure the optimal performance and safe operation of renewable energy systems along with exceptional customer satisfaction.


Specific Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Performs routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of renewable energy systems.

Inspect and clean solar panels, energy storage systems, check wiring and connections, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, such as identifying and repairing faults or replacing faulty components.

Customer Interaction:
Schedules service work and interacts with customers during the maintenance process and service calls. Provides explanations about the system, educate customers on proper usage and maintenance, and address any questions or concerns raised.

Ensures both preventative and unplanned service work is scheduled in the company's service tracking software and customer folders are being updated with relevant information.

Construction Support, System Testing and Commissioning:
Assists with the installation, testing and verification of renewable energy systems when needed to support the construction team. This includes checking electrical connections, conducting insulation resistance tests, and verifying proper system operation.

Electrical Wiring and Connection:

handles electrical wiring to connect solar panels, energy storage systems, inverters, and other system components related to renewable energy assets.

Ensures proper electrical connections, follow safety protocols, and adhere to local electrical codes.

Safety Compliance:

Adheres to stringent safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows safety procedures to minimize risks and hazards associated with working at heights, electrical systems, and solar equipment.

It is expected that strict safety standards are always practiced and insisted upon when working with others.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintains accurate records of installation details, system specifications, maintenance activities, and any repairs or replacements conducted. Prepare reports on system performance, energy production, and any incidents or issues encountered.

Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement:
Identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Research and evaluate new technologies that will help to ensure the successful delivery and support of renewable energy systems. Capture best practices and incorporate them into future processes.

Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
