We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about the environment to join our Environment team within the Engineering and Public Works department.

The Environmental Compliance Specialist will assist in the operation of environmental protection and pollution prevention programs and will be responsible for managing the City's real-time water quality monitoring program.

This position will also investigate issues and enforce a range of environmental bylaws including stream and drainage protection, water conservation and pesticide use.


The Environmental Compliance Specialist will recommend protective measures and improvements to reduce and control environmental impacts related to development activities, construction issues, businesses and residential properties.

The position will also be responsible for investigating related complaints and enforcing relevant bylaws.

A CUPE hourly rate of $ $47.57, an excellent benefits package and an earned day off program is being offered.
