Job Description:

Role Summary


At CPP Investments, we are looking for an experienced coach to help transition our existing work practices to a full embrace of product approach and agile methodology.

Reporting to Director, Strategy & Operating Office, Technology & Operations, the Agile Coach mentors and guides our agile teams and stakeholders to build agile capability across the organization.

The Agile Coach will play a key role in long-term strategy across the business, helping our teams deliver best products and value in faster and more efficient manner.

The Agile Coach, Strategy & Operating Office is accountable for:


  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to product teams, aiding them in their Agile transformation and facilitating effective planning, team dynamics, operations, and delivery.
  • Guide product teams to adopt and sustain Agile practices and product mindset with flexibility to adjust to accommodate different needs of the teams.
  • Act as a change agent, advocating for Agile principles, continuous improvement, and value delivery throughout the organization.
  • Define and measure agile maturity to drive continuous improvement of Agile practices and value delivery through adoption of industry best practices.
  • Coach teams on development of longterm product planning/roadmap and backlog prioritization, ensuring a healthy backlog that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to define clear objectives and key results (OKRs) to drive value delivery.
  • Set up appropriate metrics to measure and track teams' progress in Agile adoption through various methods like surveys, data analysis, interviews, etc.
  • Promote the use of DevOps practices and tools to enhance software delivery.
  • Coach teams on how to remove complex roadblocks and impediments to change and delivery.
  • Design and deliver meaningful training to educate teams and leadership on the Agile mindset, principles, and practices to enhance the organization's execution and innovation.

Qualifications:


  • An exceptional talent for coaching individuals and teams; the ability to ask the right questions and to provide specific and timely feedback, seeking to encourage individuals/teams to take ownership of their growth
  • Expertise with operating model design, organizational change management and culture change
  • Experience using metrics/OKRs to measure the impact of organizational change initiatives
  • Understanding of product development and delivery; a technical background in web or software development will be an asset
  • Handson experience using various Agile Tools, such as Jira
  • Exemplifies our Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership and high performance.
