Your Opportunity
BDO Canada is looking for a
Manager, Corporate Procurement to join our Innovation & Change team to own the following responsibilities:

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Assist in the design and develop largescale complex procurement strategies, RFX documents, evaluation frameworks
  • Participate in business development initiatives
  • Manage and develop Requests for Proposal (RFP) for multiple vendor categories
  • Adherence to policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal, Risk Management, and other BDO support functions
  • Researches and consolidates procurement activities in BDO and member firms and identifies potential opportunities and risks
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decisionmaking
  • Supports management and implementation of documentation/process controls/knowledge assets required for internal business partners and stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with clients and team members regarding project progress updates and issues
  • Provides specialized support to investigate and resolve complex issues as escalated by endusers or assigned by management.
  • Drive an inclusive and sustainable sourcing mindset to build a better working world
  • Educates and crosstrain other team members as required
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
  • Work collaboratively with key businesses to facilitate and enhance procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Establish a governance model and provide ongoing oversight of varying endtoend procurement, ensuring key performance outcomes are established and regularly met.
  • Liaison with stakeholder groups to develop regular reporting, the receipt and/or creation of analytics, and synthesizing feedback across the varying endtoend processes to ensure an outstanding client experience.
  • Monitor effectiveness and drive leadership in decisionmaking and investments.
  • Monitor patterns and work to establish strategic contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure optimization.
  • Lead projects focused on improving processes and costeffectiveness. These include creating guidelines and approval thresholds and developing detective control tools to monitor and enforce policy compliance.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the professional services industry
  • You have a completed undergraduate degree in a relevant field with some strategic procurement or supply chain experience
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills, preparing procurement analysis and developing and implementing policy enforcement processes, and monitoring internal service provider KPIs
  • You have strong problemsolving, analytical, and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  • The proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to a constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Project management skills, and will take a supporting and/or leading role for regional project sourcing and work with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation
  • Process improvement mindset that is continuously striving to evolve our ways of working and improve the enduser experience
  • Experience in virtual leadership and cultivating crossfunctional team collaboration
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • High level of cultural awareness to build relationships
  • Bilingual (English/French)
