PEI Bag Company (Central Bedeque, PEI) is seeking a
Sales Representative to join our team and drive the growth of our company. The Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients to achieve sales goals and for identifying and developing new business opportunities.

This role requires a highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

We are proud to say our long-term customers are solidly linked to core agriculture and aquaculture industries on PEI.

As a food packaging company, we have grown our sales base to encompass the Eastern seaboard of the US, Quebec, Ontario, and the western provinces.

We are embarking on an exciting capital project that will see us support all our customers but also allow us to grow with new product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the customers assigned to your responsibility are pleased with the service levels provided to ensure repeat business.
• Identify your customers current and future demands to ensure we are their preferred supplier of packaging and packaging machinery for product lines we sell.
• Identify and meet your customers communication needs regarding visits, service calls and data exchange.
• Develop new business opportunities within our existing customers base by ensuring awareness of the products and service we deliver.
• Develop a solid technical knowledge of the packaging equipment we sell and service to ensure machine sales targets are achieved.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns
• Continuously stay informed about market trends and competitor activity

Working Environment
You will work with a team of 55 PEI Bag employees to meet the needs or our customers. Your day will start with a 7:30 a.m. production meeting where you ensure our customer deadlines are adhered too.

During a normal week you may attend 2 to 3 hours of meetings associated with your role as a sales team member.

Likely you will spend a day or two a week "on the road" visiting customers, delivering bags or prospecting for packaging and machine sales.

About 20-30 hours per week will be in your office taking customer orders, processing work orders, sales orders and providing information to customers for machine quotes, sales order delivery or general communication to help them be successful in their business.

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal background check

What We Offer
- $50,000 - $76,000 per year. Performance-based incentives of up to 7.5% of the salary (applicable after the probationary period).
