- Planning and managing job site construction activities through working with other members of the project team including FCC staff, designers and subcontractors. Planning and managing includes activities related to project co-ordination, scheduling, estimating, material requisitioning, safety and cost control.
- Adhering to budgets by reviewing financial status of projects and identifying problem areas.
- Coordinating on site forces and subcontractors to effectively execute work in the field.
- Consistently meeting client requirements for quality, safety, cost and schedule.
- Recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally.
- Representing the organization in a professional, positive manner when in contact with clients and consultants.
- Attending regular project meetings either virtually or in person.
- Identifying discrepancies within the contract documents and following up on resolutions through RFI's and change management
- Award of subcontractors and purchasing including supporting administration staff with drafting of purchase orders and subcontract documents.
- Support senior Project Management staff on larger projects with daily project requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
- Civil engineering or technical background with experience in project management is an asset
- Previous commercial/industrial project experience considered an asset
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required
- Desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines
- A team player with the desire to work collaboratively with others to improve existing processes

Job Summary
This position is within the general contracting/construction management division of FCC Construction. The Junior Project Manager position is responsible for supporting with the planning and supervision of a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will assist in the organizing and oversight of the construction management processes and ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Junior Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
