PROFILE


Gowling WLG's Business Development and Marketing (BDM) Department is looking for an experienced Social Media and Marketing Campaigns Specialist who will be responsible for designing, planning and managing integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns as well as lead our social media marketing operations.

This position can be based out of any of our Canada LLP offices.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign management and operations

  • Create and promote a campaign framework from ideation to implementation including establishing creative and project briefs
  • Recommend campaign design and create, monitor and manage workback schedule.
  • Coordinate the creation of content (podcasts, webpages, social, ads etc.) and assets that support campaign objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance, refine as needed and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders to maximize ROI.
  • Maintain processes to ensure consistent marketing deliverables, coordinating with internal service providers and external vendors as required.
Social Media

  • Incorporate best practices, and lead the creation and implementation of a Firmwide social media strategy and governance
  • Create and maintain a Firmwide social media calendar, coordinating with colleagues across global offices and departments as needed.
  • Craft and execute strategic social media campaigns (paid and owned/organic).
  • Provide social media listening and monitoring across all channels to ensure the Firm's brand sentiment remains strong.
  • Monitor, respond to and/or triage incoming comments, questions and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Report on key social media metrics across channels, platforms, campaigns and themes.
  • Provide training to Firm members on how to use their personal social media channels to build their professional brands and grow their networks.
  • Grow employee advocacy among Firm members and create a deep pool of Firm brand ambassadors on social media.
  • Stay current with social media trends, best practices and competitor activity; research opportunities for new social media platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary education in marketing or communications with a focus on digital marketing.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in social media marketing and campaign operations, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Proven experience creating, editing and deploying engaging, leadgenerating content on a variety of digital and social media channels.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients' needs in a proactive, professional and courteous manner.
  • Expert knowledge on marketing trends and social media platform best practices and trends.
  • Proficient use of social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
  • In depth knowledge of planning and running B2B campaigns.
  • Ability to work proactively and manage shifting priorities and projects with strong organizational, planning, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset.
