This job posting is for two positions as a Custodial - Residence Team Member at Wilfrid Laurier University. The successful candidates will perform custodial duties related to the cleaning and upkeep of buildings and fixtures.
+Responsibilities
- Cleans walls windows furniture washrooms including showers fixtures in assigned areas
- Empties waste containers recycling bins removes waste from building to outside containers
- Cleans vacuums carpets removes garbage floors fixtures may include use heavy carpet cleaning equipment
- Maintenance light bulbs fluorescent tubes may involve working ladders liUnlocking classroom doors rearranging furniture chalkboards whiteboards required liCarries out custodial duties conference hotel operations/liEnsures equipment maintained optimum level operating safely reporting repairs leadhand immediately/liRequests supplies timely manner ensure adequate levels maintained times liReports infractions regulations policies leadhand Examples non-compliance fire code environmental health safety student behaviour leading accidents injury/liUnderstanding infection control effective cleaning methods The safe handling chemicals avoid personal injury exposure others damage equipment/liPerforms minor repairs other duties assigned
