    Burnaby Golf Operations is seeking customer service-driven individuals to work seasonally in the Golf Division starting in early spring.

    Duties and responsibilities of Golf Services Assistants include but are not restricted to:

  • Providing friendly and efficient service to the public including greeting, checking-in and booking tee times
  • Accurate processing of customer payment transactions
  • Tee time management
  • Working as part of the Golf Team to maintain proper pace of play
  • Patrolling golf course to enforce regulations
  • Performing minor custodial duties
  • Ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience at our golf facilities
  • Performing related duties as required
    Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, under the general supervision of a supervisor who evaluates performance in terms of accuracy and efficiency of work and services provided.

    Qualifications include Grade 12 graduation, including or supplemented by standard commercial courses; plus some related public contact experience, preferably in golf operations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Requirements include the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, working knowledge of cash register operations and related cash handling, retail sales and office procedures, and knowledge of golf course procedures and regulations including golf rules, etiquette, tee time management and pace of play procedures. A Driver's Licence for the Province of British Columbia, Class 5, is an asset.
