HOURS OF WORK:
Primarily Tuesday to Friday, 11:30am to 7:00pm, with the ability to work a variety of


shifts, including days, afternoon, evening, or weekends as required for operational

needs - flexibility is required.

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Administrative Systems Specialist, the Administrative Systems Assistant performs system
administration, providing technical consultation and problem-solving assistance. Duties and responsibilities
include resolving user problems, coaching, training, generally assuming control of the day-to-day
administrative operations in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Administrative Systems

JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring consistent procedures; assisting with the administration and maintenance of
internal software programs.

  • Addresses IT issues in software systems affecting management, programmers, maintenance, parks,
reception, online registration, and ticketing; assists in resolving functionality problems or identifying
alternative methods to achieve the desired results.

  • Attend various interdepartmental meetings ensuring smooth communication in the absence of the
Administrative Systems Specialist.

  • Assist Administrative Systems Specialist to develop and customize computer generated reports using
  • Develops procedures for incorporating new technology into daily operations (i.e. cash handling).
  • Develops and establishes administrative methods and procedures and provides input on the development
of new and revised policies.

  • Monitoring and reporting on status of outstanding accounts receivable accounts and initiating collection
activities and other related duties assisting the finance department as required.

  • May be required to assist the finance department during peak times, budgeting and year end processes.
  • Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Administrative or business diploma with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a computerized
software environment, problem solving, building, and documenting process and policy.

  • Background in accounting, and solid understanding standing of general account procedures.
  • Project management experience: demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects and meet
deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize, organize and multitask to meet
operational requirements.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, within a team environment and inter
- departmentally in a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to be flexible, decisive and deal with constantly changing work patterns and priorities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team is required with a
focus on providing exceptional customer service, as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Knowledge of recreation/leisure program activities is desirable.
