The Service Advisor position is responsible for greeting new and current clients as they enter the service area. They are responsible to act as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers.
As an integral part of the service team, the advisor works with the technicians to ascertain the cause of the issue(s) that prompted a given customer's visit, work to address and resolve those issues.
In addition, since technicians will often have more than one possible solution to a given issue, service advisors must be able to relate these options to the customer and help them select a course of action.
Job Responsibilities- Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers so they can have a great service experience
- Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the targeted customer satisfaction index
- Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive
- Determine vehicle needs based on customer information and a vehicle walkaround, inspections and test drives
- Use a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for the ongoing required maintenance of their vehicle
- Produce repair orders for customers, including cost and time estimates, with full transparency
- Communicate frequently with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work
- Follow up with customers on the status of their vehicle, based on how the customer wants to be informed
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help customers
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
Requirements:
- Maintain an energetic, professional, and positive personality throughout the workday
- Must be confident working with customers and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Effective listening skills when speaking with guests
- Desire to provide a high level of customer service and be resultsdriven
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
- Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Prior sales experience preferred but not required
