Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HR Manager to drive our HR initiatives and functions and ensure alignment with business objectives and business needs.

Duties will include, full cycle recruiting of top talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, enhancing recruitment efforts, planning strategic HR initiatives, conduct orientation and onboarding processes, communicating role expectations, designing succession plans, maintaining staff relations, managing internships and updating policies and practices.

Your experience in human resources management will aid our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in strategic planning process for FMI
  • Ensure top talent is retained
  • Ensure FMI has a competitive compensation structure,
  • Coordinate & support Leadership & Team Development, Communication & leadership coaching
  • Employee Relations (union & nonunion), discipline, terminations, conflict resolution
  • Support in fostering Employee Engagement
  • Oversee organization of company events (e.g. social events, management conference, Town Hall, Christmasmas party)
  • Manage professional development reviews cycle & support in objective & personal; development plan setting.
  • Drive the Recognition Programs
  • Manage FMIs company benefits, RRSP & EFAP program
  • Create and report on key HR dashboard metrics for the Company.
  • Manage onboarding and training process to make sure new hires are set up for success.
  • Manage offboarding process (exit)
  • Conducts salary reviews, market salary assessments, and participates in compensation planning.
  • Collaborate with H&S Department
  • Manages HR folder structure, and database
  • Maintains and creates HR policy and procedure supp
  • Maintains payroll and employee benefit programs working with our payroll staff and corporate controller
  • Support other areas in the organization as the need arises.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience as a strategic HR Leader within a dynamic environment, combined with 35 years of experience in Human Resources management.
  • Completion of a degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent; CPHR an asset.
  • You are a selfstarter with an entrepreneurial spirit who takes ownership and flourishes in an often ambiguous environment.
  • You are an experienced leader and know how that differs from being a manager.
  • You are approachable, comfortable building trust across all layers of the organization.
  • You focus on the priorities that drive results and performance for the Company, you respond quickly, are flexible and have experience working in a fastpaced company.

Job Types:

Salary:
$60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
