Job Description:

American Iron & Metal is a growth-oriented metal recycling and processing company located in Hamilton, Ontario.

We are currently recruiting for an Yard Inspector/General Labourer with Scrap Metal experience for our Hamilton location for the Shredder.


  • Inspect the yard and relay information to team members
  • Ensure quality of product is up to company standards
  • Other general labour duties will apply
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Performs other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications:


  • Previous Scrap Metal experience is preferred
  • Previous Quality Assurance experience is preferred
  • Must have Steel Toed Work Boots
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a team however with limited supervision
  • Must have a valid G license
  • Forklift experience
Additional Information

  • Afternoon Shift
  • Overtime paid after 44 hours
