As an accounting clerk, tasks you'll encounter include: calculating, preparing and processing bills, invoices, reports, account statements, deposit of condo fee cheques, processing PADs and submitting reports on each Corporation, recording and processing NSFs, violations, chargebacks and arrears in addition to preparing notices for each, accurately recording and ensuring owner and vendor information is correct and current.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and
- Compile reports/summaries on the various Corporations as needed and required
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
Job Requirements/Skills:
- Proven accounting experience
- Property Management experience would be an asset
- Specific Knowledge of Condo Manager or other Property Management software
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Handson experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Selfmotivated, proactive, detail oriented, problem solver and a team player
- High school degree
- Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus
Salary:
From $40,000.00 per year
