Description
We are currently looking for a
Service Manager, to serve our customers in Alberta and British Columbia in a wide variety of industrial environment.
Under the responsibility of the Executive Director, the
Service Manager's primary function is to plan, organize, direct and control all aspects of our service group.
In your activities, you will have to interact with customers, suppliers, internal project team members, fabrication shop, service and offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and direct a service team dedicated to serve local and regional customers for all of their lifting needs.
- The service manager needs to organize and deliver important projects with other internal team members such as engineering and production.
- Be the key communication point with the customer for the purpose project status, maintenance status and addressing open issues and managing customer change requests.
- Create and maintain detailed work plans, project schedules/deliverables, risk management reports, projected cost reports, variance to budget reports, open issue lists, and project evaluation reports.
- Manage the fleet of service vehicles
- Lead commercial discussions toward yearly maintenance agreement.
- Manage multiple projects with short term and competing deadlines at any given time.
- Participate in estimating, including material selection and proposal submissions.
- Involved in sales and followup proposals.
Qualifications:
- College or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of Project Management or customer service experience
- Experience in overhead lifting equipment (an asset)
- Have a lot of initiative and be creative
- Good sense of observation and customer relations
- Ability to manage pressure, prioritization and daytoday challenges
- Valid driver's license
- Hardworking, available and willing to travel in Canada
- Have a safetyconscious mindset
Other Requirements:
- Strong leadership qualities and experience in managing a team of field and office employees.
- Demonstrate leadership and knowledge of Health and Safety Activity. Being recognized as a key team player to address safety topics.
- Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services provided to our customers.
- Produce quality work (on spec, on time, on budget).
- Participate proactively in the continuous improvement process.
- Be selfmotivated with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask.

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
