Position Summary


We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to be based at our Sterling Rd Factory reporting into the Quality Assurance Team Leader.

The QA Analyst is responsible for the factory net content management program, analytical testing, lab management, and allergen testing and ensuring the factory maintains a peanut-free environment in accordance with the Factory's Nut-free program.

A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Analyst

  • Manage analytical lab, conduct all analytical testing as requested and according to QMS, complete calibrations of all equipment listed on analytical ICP. Tests include particle size determination by Malvern, % fat determination by NMR, % moisture determination by Karl Fisher titration, viscosity testing, sieve testing
  • Implement and maintain Internal Control Plan (ICP) for analytical lab
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical lab equipment to ensure operational accuracy
  • Organize and manage QA supplies required to accomplish quality related functions
  • Coordinate samples for peanut testing and ensure production has adequate sampling
  • Ensure that Inprocess, WorkinProcess and finished products are tested for peanuts prior to product release
  • Perform peanut swabbing as required
  • Assigned as the Net Content officer
  • Support the implementation of the net content management program in accordance with the company standard and Canadian regulation
  • Provide coaching and training to production operators and associates, including scheduling training time
  • Provide support to production with net content IT solution (ASI)
  • Foster Nestlé's standards and methods, safety regulations and QMS
  • Ensure compliance with Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS), ISO 22000, and Quality Policy
  • Perform duties in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirement
  • Responsible for taking care of themselves and their coworkers, for following S&H rules and procedures, and for highlighting and addressing new risks as they are identified.

What will make you successful

  • University degree in Food Science or related discipline
  • 12 years experience in food manufacturing or processing
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including travel when required
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as team member
  • Capable of following systematic method of solving problems
