To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a
Clinical Performance Analyst (CPA) to support the
Performance Measurement and Reporting (PMR) Department.


The CPA is responsible for the data extraction, analysis, and reporting of performance data across both campuses to support evidence-based decision making and to advance the operational and strategic goals of Sinai Health.

This role will work with PMR colleagues, Health Records Services, Coding, Admitting, Finance and Information Services to support internal and external submissions and reporting requirements.

The CPA reports to the Senior Manager, Performance, and works closely with the consultants on the team, who are the main contacts for the clinical programs and other departments.


Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze clinical and operational data from various hospital databases to fulfill reporting requirements, monitor performance and support organizational goals.
  • Produce and update reports, prepare submissions for external reporting, perform reconciliations across multiple data sources, creates dashboard and provide summaries of analysis.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement processes to improve data quality and update processes to increase efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for all tasks.
  • Monitor Sinai Health's compliance with existing and emerging submission and reporting requirements.
  • Professional and ethical responsibility to protect privacy and maintain the confidentiality and security of all information related to patients, staff and the business of SHS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements
    Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in health care or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years relevant work experience.
  • Canadian Health Information Management Certificate (CHIMA) an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Cerner Health Information system, Meditech, Med 2020 Coding/Abstracting system (Winrecs
  • DAD, NACRS, OMHRS, NRS, CCRS databases) or related software an asset.
  • General math, statistics and intermediate computer skills. High proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Knowledge and skills in report writing (i.e. Crystal, SAS, SQL).
  • Understanding of Balanced Scorecard concepts including target setting and benchmarking.
  • Effective communication skills, strong analytical competency, commitment to teamwork.
  • Must be well organized and able to demonstrate high productivity and accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment, and to to exercise tact and discretion with good judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing workload demands.
