Position Summary

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform triage, troubleshooting, and analysis of issues and failures reported by team members to determine if the issue is a defect, enhancement, or user-error.

  • Communicate changes to the development team and endusers.
  • Ensure that all QA and Test activity is appropriately governed, reported and continually assessed to identify potential improvements.
  • Execute a number of testing techniques that satisfy the riskbased criteria laid out in the Software Quality Assurance & Testing Strategy.
  • Ensure that software deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain and develop QA Standards.
  • Test backend database(s) in a Microsoft SQL environment, including validating stored procedures, jobs, and triggers.
  • Run functional tests, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, and integration, improving the quality of the finished product. The ultimate goal is to iron out any bugs and improve the quality of the finished product.
  • Use Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software (NVDA, JAWS) and Accessibility test tools.

Qualifications

  • Available to work in Toronto, Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant QA & Testing technical experience
  • Experience with Web and Mobile development technical concepts and processes
  • Experience with automated testing tools: Selenium and Appium
  • Strong knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG)
  • Experience preparing design and QA documents
  • Strong communication skills, both written and inperson
  • Engage in multiple projects and make progress according to priorities
  • UAT testing education or accreditation an asset
