    Description

    Treater

    Efficiently operates treating cylinders and equipment to chemically treat wood products. The Treater reports to the General Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create Treating Charges based on guidelines
    • Confirm charges are accurately recorded in paper data sheets and computer systems
    • Loading/unloading materials for staging area, ensuring accuracy of all tallies by quality control checks
    • Maintaining plant area cleanliness, ensuring equipment is functioning correctly
    • Report safety or maintenance issues to Management in a timely manner
    • Adequately tag charge sheets
    • Inspect loads for damage

      Requirements:

      The ideal candidate will have Forklift certification (recertification if needed), good knowledge of optimum loading practices, basic computer skills, attention to detail with documentation tasks.The candidate must be able lift up 50 pounds regularly during a shift.Ability stand walk around majority shift required.Basic math skills necessary.Must provide own steel-toed boots
