Description

The Pro Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Country Club Pro Shop. This position is seasonal, from approximately mid March until early November. There may be an opportunity for work in the winter, but there will be less shifts available.

Duties:

Pro shop services such as checking in golfers for their rounds, ringing in transactions, directing golfers to the starter stand to get a cart, and informing them of all other things they need to know including daily cart path rules, rain check policies, if they are paired with other golfers, etc. Additionally, must maximize the tee sheet by pairing together twosomes, moving groups as needed, charging no shows/late cancellations, and charging for broken clubs or cart damage.
Retail services including selling items from the pro shop, promoting sales, pushing for secondary sales, and monitoring inventory levels.
Reception services including answering phone calls, directing guests to events, Après restaurant, meetings, and being the first point of contact for guests when they visit the club.
Coordinate with the Golf Operations Manager for league events, retails operations, and staffing issues. Coordinate with the Golf Events Manager for contacting customers regarding tee time tournaments, finalizing numbers, and other preevent details.
As needed, help outside with the Starter or Back Shop positions.

Qualifications:

Reliable transportation to the golf course (shifts will start at early as 6am).
Shift times will typically start between 68am.
Golf knowledge is an important asset for this position.
Prior experience working at a golf course, or in retail or reception is an asset.

Salary:
$18.00-$19.00 per hour
