About the role:
Project Deveron is implementing the sale of the Canadian business in 2023.

As part of the sale there is a requirement to transfer Customer, Account and other relevant data from HSBC to the buying bank.

There may also be the need to transfer systems between the 2 banks. The transaction to implement this is planned to take place over a single weekend.

The design, testing and management of execution of the activity over the cutover weekend is critical to the success of the programme.

The Role holder will be responsible for the delivery of the cutover solution from design with the buyer, through execution to post event activity


Responsibilities:

Overall ownership of the IT execution activities that will need to take place before, during and after the Event. Supported by a cross GBGF team responsibilities include.

  • Working with the buyer of our Canadian business to design the event(s), including preevent and post event activities
  • Ownership of IT run book and managing integration with the overall business run book
  • Integration, acceptance testing of the solution
  • Rehearsal planning and execution including at minimum 3 dry run exercises
  • IT Event planning, readiness monitoring and reporting and execution
  • Back out / contingency planning / go/no go planning / Incident management
  • Post event planning and management of CA close down
  • Leadership over a small team of direct reports, with a broader set of indirect reports within the impacted areas
  • Member of the IT Deveron team, DBS Deveron team as well as leading GBGF development activity
  • Build the team required to complete the work
Requirements

  • Experience of mergers and acquisitions projects including team restructuring
  • Familiarity with Organisation and Operating Model for IT, specifically in US and Canada
