Overview:

POSITION PROFILE


The Network Operations Analyst will be assisting in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving high priority/complex issues while providing constant communication to the client and Managed Services leadership.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform analysis of network connectivity through the LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Provide Tier II support for networking and security issues
  • Configuration of SNMP monitoring, traps, and more to support and provide implementation
  • Complete daily time entries and project updates in our Professional Services Automation system
  • Manage devices for client base
  • Assist in supporting unified communications and loadbalancing implementations leveraging technologies including but not limited to Cisco, ShoreTel, Citrix, FortiGate, and Riverbed.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and our Service Desk Team.
  • Provide client user training and feedback.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation. Accurately input actions taken for all service related tickets and handle any ticket administration that may arise.
  • Ensure accurate time sheet entries and submit as directed

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years working with Cisco switches and routers in an IT capacity
  • Some experience working with firewalls including but not limited to Cisco ASA 55xx, FortiGate etc.
  • Some experience Citrix NetScaler support and administration
  • Understanding of VLANs and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
  • Some experience troubleshooting enterprise wireless solutions
  • Some experience troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching solutions (OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.)
  • Some experience supporting different types of WAN connections and VPN technologies (e.g. MPLS, L2, DMVPN, IPsec VPN, etc.)
  • Some experience with SOC SIEM support a plus
  • Some experience with network management and troubleshooting tools (PRTG, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Configuring SNMP monitoring, traps, etc. to support network management
OTHER SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Bilingual English and French Required:

  • Current industry certifications including but not limited to CCNA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • The ability to multitask and work in a facepaced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Ongoing commitment to professional develop and industry certification.
  • Occasional evenings and weekend work as required
  • Regular oncall work is required based on a rotating schedule
  • Travel to client/vendor sites and meetings (025%)
  • Ability to work with a variety of challenging clients
  • Occasional heavy lifting e.g. computers, networking equipment, servers and UPS (up to 50 pounds)
