About this job:
This newly created position is in the core of the Non-Life Pricing function of a renowned international Reinsurer.
Its primary role is to ensure that worldwide pricing analysis, conducted by 50 pricing actuaries and 100 Underwriters for all non-life contracts, is complying with all regulatory and risk management policies.
About the role:
- Maintain an environment and control system to ensure contracts are priced in a consistent, timely and accurate manner, including documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain or improve workflow and processes, including Non-Life Pricing Guidelines and pre/post renewals analysis, high level views documentation and their communication.
- Maintain and coordinate development of pricing parameters' framework and their implementation into pricing tools.
- Conduct analysis of pricing parameters assumptions, including communication to Managers (Pricing, Business, Risk Management, Underwriting Office and Audit)
- Be a team member of projects encompassing the non life pricing function
- Coordinate the overall planning & follow up of yearly projects of the nonlife pricing teams and coordinate Chief Actuary & Risk Officer 's involvement in projects' reviews.
- Gain or improve nonlife reinsurance pricing knowledge (methodologies and tools) in order to conduct pricings, reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
About you:
The role is ideal for someone who has a mix of analytical, organisational and communication skills, who has:
- preferably an university degree in a quantitative discipline (actuarial science, statistics, accounting, finance, natural science or similar).
- strong business judgement; an ability to solve complex issues with pragmatic solutions leveraging technology.
- good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to develop a strong collaborative network and articulate analytical information to a wide audience.
- Intellectual curiosity with a high level of selfawareness and maturity. Demonstrates a high level of integrity and trust for others.
- IT skills: strong in Excel. Knowledge in Visual Basic, SQL, BI, Python and/or R is welcome.
